December 26, 2009

lazy days, green nails and that's it.

For some reason I am having a really hard time accessing the blog. Is it happening to you too? I've been trying to open the site and post all day long and it wasn't working at all!
Anyways, I haven't done anything lately or any research what so ever for the blog and that's why I've been posting so many random things about me. So sorry! I promise after my awesome vacation to my beach house I'll pay more attention to that.

So wednesday I went to the salon and got my nails done for Christmas. I was just really looking for something different that would give a nice contrast with my outfit and I saw this really amazing shade of green and decided to try it out! I loved it so much, but my mom was a bit annoyed by it lol. She said: "It looks like the girl's vomit on that Exocist movie!", and I was like: "Thanks a lot mom, that is just whay I love to hear when I get my nais done!"
But whatever. Vomit is such a big trend lol.... NOT!

It is definatly not the regualr nail polish you see around but it's summer here and this colors are such a big hit!!! :) I am gonna try make it least untill new years 'cus this green is gonna look lovely with my white dress.

It's late here and I can't sleep. I am gonna go watch some tv or a boring movie and see if it helps my sleeping problems!

MERRY CHRISTMAS, FELIZ NATAL, FELIZ NAVIDAD....

Hello my dear blog readers! It's Christmas and here I am posting something for you using my brand new LG laptop (it's white and sooo cute!!!!!!!).
First of all I wanna wish you all a Merry Christmas and I hope that you have a wonderful, awesome amazingly magic time. ;D
This gotta be my favorite time of the year and I sure most people agree with me.
I feel like there is a magic involved that you can just feel it when Christmas is coming. Besides all the crazyness it's a very enjoyable (spell check pls lol) time.
I was reading this blog a few days ago about Christmas movies and decided to do a post on that.
These types or movies are so cute and I just love 'em all, so I am here to recomend you my favorite ones. So here we go:

1. The Polar Express (2004)

The Polar Express revolves around Billy (Hayden McFarland), who longs to believe in Santa Claus but finds it quite difficult to do so, what with his family's dogged insistence that all of it, from the North Pole, to the elves, to the man himself, is all just a myth. This all changes, however, on Christmas Eve, when a mysterious train visits Billy in the middle of the night, promising to take him and a group of other lucky children to the North Pole for a visit with Santa.

2. Love Actually (2003)

Love Actually involves more than a dozen main characters, each weaving his or her way into another's heart over the course of one particularly eventful Christmas. The seemingly perfect wedding of Juliet (Keira Knightley) and Peter (Chiwetel Ejiofor) brings many of the principals together, including heartsick best man Mark (Andrew Lincoln), who harbors a very unrequited crush on Juliet. There's also recent widower Daniel (Liam Neeson), trying to help his lonely stepson Sam (Thomas Sangster) express his true feelings to a classmate. Across town, devoted working mother Karen (Emma Thompson) tries to rekindle the passion of her husband, Harry (Alan Rickman), who secretly pines for a young colleague of his. In the same office, the lonely Sarah (Laura Linney) not-so-secretly pines for a man just a few desks away (Rodrigo Santoro), who returns her affections but may not be able to dissuade her neuroses. Providing the unofficial soundtrack for all of the couples is an aging rocker (Bill Nighy) who just wants to cash in and get laid -- but even he might find a meaningful relationship in the most unlikely of places.

3. Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

In the story, Jack Skellington (voice of Chris Sarandon) is the Pumpkin King of Halloweentown, a realm of reality where the inhabitants make it their life's work to scare humans on Halloween. He's good at his work, and is very popular around town, but it all bores him. In a funk one day, he wanders into a wood where every tree is the doorway to realms serving one or another human holiday, and falls through the doorway into Christmas. There, he sees scenes of such glee and good will that he is overwhelmed. He returns to Halloweentown with the inspiration to persuade his fellow citizens to kidnap Santa and do Christmas in their own Halloweentown way -- complete with snakes and shrunken heads. Despite strong arguments against this project by Jack's otherwise loyal girlfriend, Sally (voice of Catherine O'Hara), Santa (voice of Edward Ivory) is duly captured, and the townspeople prepare a very special Christmas for everyone. Jack is excited about the new plan, and at first doesn't notice that Sally isn't around much anymore. Meanwhile, Oogie Boogie (voice of Ken Page), a sinister opponent of Jack's, has re-kidnapped Santa and has captured Sally as well. Since Sally is the true love of Jack's life and (he eventually realizes) the only one who can be relied upon to tell him the truth in every circumstance, a confrontation with Oogie Boogie becomes inevitable.

4. Home Alone (1990)

Home Alone is the highly successful and beloved family comedy about a young boy named Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) who is accidentally left behind when his family takes off for a vacation in France over the holiday season. Once he realizes they've left him "home alone," he learns to fend for himself and, eventually has to protect his house against two bumbling burglars (Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern) who are planning to rob every house in Kevin's suburban Chicago neighborhood.

5. Christmas with the kranks (2004)

For the first time, Luther Krank (Tim Allen) and his wife Nora (Jamie Lee Curtis) are about to celebrate the holidays without their daughter Blair (Julie Gonzalo), who has just left for the Peace Corps in Peru. Luther sees a Caribbean cruise poster in a Chicago travel agency window, and he begins to plan the trip. First he must see how he will pay for the trip, so he comes up with an idea that if they skipped Christmas, they could go. He will save money by not buying a tree, having a party, or putting up decorations. The neighbors think he is crazy and want him to at least put Frosty the Snowman on his roof for the local decoration contest. The battle begins between the Kranks and their neighbors. Then Blair calls and tells her parents that she is flying home for Christmas with her fiancée. They have twenty-four hours to put up all the decorations and prepare for the Christmas party.

Now tell me about your favorite movies. I wanna see how many of you also like the ones I do.

xoxoxo

update: I totally forgot about "The Grinch" peeps. That is one amazing movie too and one of my favorites without a doubt.

I kinda like the photos and kinda don't like it. I don't know... I am in betwen!

But anyways, I've been real busy doing some massive Christmas shopping and I gotta tell y'all, this is the one type of shopping that I don't actually enjoy doing that much to be honest. I think people go a little crazy at this time of the year and they decide to go all at once to the mall and turn that place into a living hell, buuut, I gotta do what I gotta do! Goog things come out of that, for example, just yesterday I got the cutest white dress to spend new years looking GREAT! I'll post a picutre of it later so you can all adimire it lol.
So, my laptop is still broken and I really don't think I am getting it fixed since my new one is coming and untill then I continue to use my mom's computer and dream about unwrapping my white HP laptop Santa is bringing me. o/

Oh well, time to go loves, it's movie time.

TGIF

So it's finally friday and I couldn't be happier! :)) The wather sucks really bad and it's hasen't stopped raining since I woke up. No big deal tho, I won't let this ruin any of my weekend plans.
I won't be going to college tonight, so instead I'll be hiting this new bar that just opened with some of my besties. Right now I am just trying to put an outfit together and I can't think of anything cool to wear. Browsing some fashion sites I just happend to read about Fendi designing guitars for this band "Ok Go" that I never heard of, but anyways, I thought it looked really awesome and they are talking about Fendi getting together with Gibson to design some guitars that you can order! How cool is that? Now, I don't play guitar but these photos definatly made me want one for myself! ;)

The December issue features Laetitia Casta wearing Yves Saint-Laurent.
